Gallery 1: The fight for clean water
In this community, getting water is not as simple as turning on a tap. Families often have to rely on river water because there is no safe alternative, and even transporting water can require hiring a tricycle for about 40 Ghana cedis (around $4) per trip. When money is tight, people still use the water they can reach, even when they know it is not clean, because their children have to drink, wash, and cook.
